In June 2021, the General Office of the State Council issued the “Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Public Hospitals”, which pointed out that the development mode of public hospitals will change from scale expansion to quality and efficiency improvement. The operation mode will change from extensive management to refined management, and resource allocation will change from focusing on materials to paying more attention to the elements of talents and technology which have got more public attentions. Therefore, while building new public hospitals across the country, how to meet the patients’ needs of major diseases, promote innovation in medicine and service models, and build a new medical management system to improve the ability to serve patients will become an important goal of the future development of traditional public hospitals. At the same time, most public hospitals generally have problems such as long waiting time for patients before consultation and poor medical experience. How to optimize the medical treatment process and shorten the waiting time for patients has become an urgent need for the digital transformation of medical services. How to build a patient-centered “Future Hospital” that promotes digital and intelligent applications will also become the direction of future efforts of public hospitals.
“2022 Future Hospital Development Summit” will bring together the Heads of the Health Commission, Presidents, Vice Presidents, IT Department, Equipment Department, Infrastructure Department, Logistics Department, etc. from tertiary hospitals. During the Webinar on October 25th, topics to be shared include hospital building space design, how to build a green and energy-saving hospital, digital smart mobile hospital construction, smart operating room reconstruction and expansion practices.
